Mama Lycha Ripe Plantains (peeled and sliced)
2 Mama Lycha panelas (brown sugar)
Mama Lycha Quesillo (Melting Cheese)
1/2 stick of butter
Red berries for decoration (optional)
Place the pieces of the two Mama Lycha panelas together with half a stick of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Stir constantly until a smooth, well-blended caramel forms.
Add the slices of ripe Mama Lycha plantains to the caramel and stir until they are well coated.
Once the plantains are well coated and caramelized, remove them from the heat.
Arrange the slices on a baking dish and cover them with grated Mama Lycha Quesillo cheese.
Bake in the oven or under the broiler until the cheese melts and browns slightly.
Garnish with red berries, if desired, and serve the caramelized plantains.
Mama Lycha ripe plantains are pre-cooked, so all you have to do is heat them up.
