    • 125 Mama Lycha jocotes
    • 2 liters of water
    • 1 Mama Lycha panela or piloncillo 
    • Cinnamon to taste
    • Honey to taste


    1. Bring the water to a boil and when it is hot enough, add the jocotes.
    2. When you see that the jocotes are already cracked, take them out of the water and carefully remove the peel. Then cut them crosswise without removing the seeds.
    3. In a pot put the water with the panela or piloncillo and the cinnamon over low heat. Also, add the peeled jocotes.
    4. Let them cook for one hour and add the honey to serve.


This is the ideal dessert to share right after lunchtime, it is healthy
and delicious.
